Here
is a general list of activities held by our chapter throughout
the month. The actual activities vary each month, but
this should give you an idea of what we do! Activities
and meetings, with the exception of Mom's Night Out, are held
during the day and CHILDREN ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!
Monthly Member Meeting:
Once a month, we hold a member meeting to discuss upcoming
events. We often have a speaker from the community, presenting
information on a wide range of topics of interest to our
members. Recent topics have included family nutrition
and a demo class from Music Together.
Field
Trips and Daytime Activities:
You don't have to be in school to enjoy field trips!
Each month, we try to schedule a trip or tour to some place
new or an old favorite. Past field trips have included
trips to the Tempe Fire Department, the zoo, Mesa
Children’s’ Art Museum, tours of local businesses and
more! We have a monthly breakfast club and new this fall will
have a family night with pizza in the park. Also, we routinely
hold events to celebrate holidays. These celebrations
generally include crafts, games, and snacks for the kids.
Playgroups:
This is a great opportunity to get your child together with a
small group of kids his or her own age! Playgroups also
offer a great opportunity for moms to meet on a regular basis!
Meal Support Program:
Any time a mother needs a helping hand; our members combine
efforts to provide their family with a full meal. Members
are eligible for this extra support due to an illness in the
family, a personal crisis, or the birth of a child.
Mom's Night Out:
As much as we love our children, it is still nice to get out
of the house once a month and share a little
"moms-only" conversation! Past
activities have included going to the movies, golf lessons,
and dinner at restaurants. We are always looking for new
and fun things to do.
